Welcome to our Beavers Section
Boys and girls can join Beaver Scouts at 6 years old and then move to the next section, Cub Scouts, at about 8 years old. Beaver Scouts are easily recognised by their distinctive turquoise sweatshirts and they take part in a wide range of activities including games, crafts, singing, museum visits, investigating and discovering the exciting world of science, nature and technology along with plenty of outdoor activities.
They will also develop new friendships and take part in the fun and excitement of camps and sleepovers. It may be the first time they spend a night away from home so it’s a real adventure for them!
An important part of Scouting is getting invested - the ceremony where your child become part of 2nd East London group, as well as the worldwide movement of scouts, make their promise, and are given their scarf.
Beavers promise to do their best, to be kind and helpful and to love God. Different versions of the promise are available depending on their faith (or absence of one.)
We usually meet once a week on Fridays between 5 pm and 6.30 pm at George Green's Secondary School (100 Manchester Rd, London E14 3DW). If you would like some more information, please contact us via email or through the link below.
We look forward to hearing from you.
